TravelTree is committed to the development of a range of product which is different from that generally offered, a challenging objective in an over-crowded market. We believe, however, that our (developing) range of group tours, independent trips, holidays and cruises will position us as the company of choice for many thousands of travellers.
We believe, also, that our tree-planting programme will resonate with thinking travellers who will come to see the TravelTree brand as one which mirrors their own aspirations.
Beyond that, it will be our ability to provide service which will ensure our success.
We began operating on the 1st of January 1998 with a name which was easily forgettable. It did not stop us from creating a very successful enterprise however, after 14 years, we felt there was a need for change.
In January 2012, it was decided that we should establish a branding which was easy to recall and appropriate to the time. After an exhaustive process of trial and elimination, it was decided that Travel Tree was our best option. The name had resonance with us for a number of reasons, including a) it spoke of branches b) it hinted at sustainability and c) it was fresh and different.
We were also very aware that our travellers contributed to carbon emissions, so we gave consideration to what we might do to (partially) counteract this. The opportunity arose to partner with Carbon Neutral (a not-for-profit body which plants bio-diverse trees in Australia), following which we committed to the planting of 6,000 (plus) trees each year.
